Located in the Biella region, well known for its textile manufacturers, the Siletti linen mills were opened in 1876 by Serafino Siletti, “weaver from Mongrando”, as he is defined on his passport issued in 1856 by King Vittorio Emanuele II.

It was his two sons, Emilio and Eugenio, who founded “Fratelli Finotto Siletti” and who continued the activity until after the war, when the company owned 120 looms and had more than 150 workers. From then on, the family passed down the running of the company from father to son, continuing to apply the same craft techniques and attention to every detail in order to maintain excellent levels of quality.
